Biography

Jalexus Osborne is an associate at Grant Austin, LLC. She concentrates her practice on commercial litigation, employment, and product liability litigation. Prior to joining Grant Austin, Jalexus worked in the Chicago office of a mid-sized litigation law firm. There, her practice focused on environmental issues, consumer protection, and privacy rights. Jalexus attended law school at the University of Illinois College of Law in Champaign, Illinois. In law school, she gained significant litigation experience as a member of the Federal Civil Rights Clinic representing an incarcerated individual in a Section 1983 claim before the U.S. District Court for the Central District of Illinois. Additionally, Jalexus contributed to the University of Illinois’ Veterans’ Legal Clinic, where she assisted military veterans with family law disputes, contract disputes, and discharge upgrades. Jalexus also served on the University of Illinois Trial Team, where she competed in national trial advocacy competitions. Jalexus is a licensed member of the Illinois Bar.

Education

Jalexus obtained her Juris Doctor from the University of Illinois College of Law in 2021. She obtained her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Communication in 2017 from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
